God's Will Have you ever wondered what God is trying to tell you? Do you ever agonize over a decision, wondering what God would have you do? Do you second guess an action you’ve taken, wondering if it was the right thing to do?

If you struggle with these questions, A Handbook for Discovering God’s Will might be a book you’d like to read. Gordon S. Jackson introduces you to the 5 elements that can guide you in recognizing God’s will. He then goes on to elaborate on each of these elements and provide further questions to ask yourself.

At times I felt like this book reduced seeking God’s will to a simple formula, but at the same time, this book was very Biblically based. I think a lot of the information and suggestions are a bit elementary for mature Christians, but I could definitely see how this little handbook would be useful for the newer Christian who is not yet used to discerning God’s will in different situations.

All in all, A Handbook for Discovering God’s Will was a really easy read. The contents are also laid out clearly, so if you need to find a topic quickly, you can flip right to it.

I give this book 3 out of 5 stars. Maybe 4 out of 5 stars for new Christians.

    What makes Gordon S. Jackson an authority on this subject? How can a mortal being know - or even guess - the will of the omnipotent, omnipresent God?
