Between Two Worlds In evangelical Christian circles there is often a strain between evangelicals and Catholics. As an evangelical Christian, there is much about the Catholic church I don’t understand. My exposure to Catholicism has been limited to those who have left the Catholic church, most of whom didn’t leave under the best of circumstances.

For this reason I was intrigued by Between Two Worlds, the autobiography of Mike Timmis, who considers himself an Evangelical Catholic.

I was drawn into Timmis’ story from the get-go. He tells the story of growing up Catholic, meeting and marrying his wife, becoming a work-a-holic, and eventually developing a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

He describes challenges with his children and challenges in his marriage. And he does a good job of describing the reasons he felt compelled to stay in the Catholic church, even when his evangelical friends didn’t understand.

It was inspiring to me to read about the work God is doing through Mike Timmis both in the Catholic church and throughout the world.

If you’ve ever struggled to understand whether Catholics can be Christians or why evangelical Christians choose to remain in the Catholic church, read this book. And if you want to be inspired by Catholics and evangelicals working together to spread the love of Jesus, read this book. I highly recommend it!

I give Between Two Worlds 5 out of 5 stars!
